Hot Damn Hannah
Louder, looser, and ready to party.
2027
Hot Damn Hannah revisits the fascinating meeting place of ballet and juggling, but approaches it from a radically colourful perspective.
Cross-referencing dance forms from ballet to voguing, from contemporary dance to threading, Hot Damn Hannah offers a sideways look at popular dance - a fevered dream of funky dancing jugglers, like a lost K-pop distortion, a reflection on entertainment.
Is one form better than the other? Is dancing to dance music less artistic than dancing to classical music…?
At its heart, Hot Damn Hannah is a celebration - of bodies in motion, of rhythm and coordination, and of the many ways juggling can reinvent itself through the lens of pop culture.
